A bstract We study (orientifolded) toric Calabi-Yau singularities in search for D-brane configurations which lead to dynamical supersymmetry breaking at low energy. By exploiting dimer techniques we are able determine that while most realizations a Coulomb branch instability, rather specific construction admits fully stable vacuum. describe the geometric structure singularity should have order host such construction, and present its simplest example, Octagon.

We identify configurations of intersecting branes that correspond to the meta-stable supersymmetry breaking vacua in the four-dimensional N = 1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory coupled to massive flavors. We show how their energies, the stability properties, and the decay processes are described geometrically in terms of the brane configurations.
